Rate your pipeline safety program. Show what backs it up.
Pipeline SMS means pipeline safety management system. It is a self-assessment aligned to API RP 1173. Rate each item on the industry's public five-level scale and link the Panora records that back the rating. A rating with nothing behind it reads Unsupported and counts as zero.

- Rate it yourself
- Six levels in plain words, from Not started to Improving.
- Back it with records
- Briefings, permits, incidents, actions, drills and sign-ins Panora already holds.
- Keep it honest
- Unsupported counts as zero. Old evidence is marked stale. Nothing is certified.
Rate each item
where the work is.
One card per item: the question in field words, the RP 1173 section underneath, and six levels with a sentence each. The evidence panel beside it shows what Panora already holds for the period. Rate an item Developing with nothing linked, and the card says so.
Every number opens
the records behind it.
The evidence map lists, for each part of the program, the records that count as evidence and how many there are for the period. A count is evidence on offer. Nothing counts toward a score until a person links it to an item.
Seal it, and it stays sealed.
A sealed assessment gets a document number and cannot be edited. A correction is a written amendment, and the original stays readable. The sealed record also sits in Panora's standard records chain, and it exports as a PDF evidence pack laid out by element.
Gaps become actions.
Not all of them.
When you seal, every item that counts below your target becomes a gap, biggest first. That includes an item rated high with nothing linked. Pick the few that matter, give each an owner and a due date through Safety findings, and ask a second person to confirm the fix worked. Accept or defer the rest, with a written reason.
The management review
builds its own packet.
Set how often you review. The packet assembles itself from the sealed assessment, the open and verified actions and six indicators, and its numbers freeze when an admin signs. Record who attended and what was decided. A decision can become an action.
Six indicators, each with its base.
Corrective actions past due, how old the open actions are, closed actions a second person confirmed, due dates moved later, and two more. Each is a count of a stated base, with the records behind it one tap away. Nothing is colored good or bad. You read your own trend.
